Idk what to say, Run. They most.clean up.the place before they open or something.
I never seen anything like it. If this what your farm looks like.off season. Then what does it look like During season.
As a family of four we paid $32 to enter. For that price both kids received a face painting, tractor pulled hay ride, two corn mazes and petted a lot of goats. The staff was not very friendly, mostly kids who looked like they had better things to do. They did also sell a variety of produce and pumpkins at a reasonable price.
Went to find the place , just to see it. I mean dirty, ran down piece of.
We've went here the last 2 years around halloween and were very pleased with the events. The people are very friendly and they have great stuff to buy. I'm considering an Egg CSA this year.
DC because there are better ones in the region.
We wanted to take my neice to a pumpkin patch and decided to try Zekiah Farms. The phone call I made to them, earlier in the day to find out the location times, should have been my first clue. Someone answered the phone and gave the worst information, but decided to try them anyway. When you pull up there is a man directing you where to park your car, but that's the only direction you will get!! Unless you know to walk into their store area to pay admission, you will have no clue how things work. We walked around the farm like deers caught in headlights. We feed the goats and my neice picked a pumpkin. After we decided to go inside and get something to eat. At the counter (2 tables put together), we stood in a confusing line and ordered a hot dog, a bag of chips, and 2 can sodas ($5.00 total). The person taking the order was an equally confused boy. And let me mention how he left the cash register open in front of us (all the money exposed!) to get the can sodas out of the fridge. While eating we determined this place was "a hot mess"! We paid for the pumpkin ($4.00) and left. We could have picked a cheaper pumpkin at the grocery store!!! This was a little pumpkin that my 2 1/2 year old neice carried! We never paid for any admission or services, because we had no idea how this place worked, but I'm glad we didn't. I would have been angry if I spent my money for activities on this farm. If you like confusion, this is the place for you!! The only good thing, is the fact my neice was happy with her pumpkin. She didn't know any better. I guess that counts for something!!!
I would not recommend this farm to my friends in
Sept. 2011 - Great field trip for our 3-year old class. The class was guided by an adult who asked questions and supplied information about the animals that 3-year olds could related to. The only pumpkin patch that we have been to that had an educational component. The corn maze was child size and the adults could assist the children because we could see them. Not scary - but fun for the children. When choosing a pumpkin the adult leader discussed different types of pumpkins. We plan on going back this year for our 3rd time.
