Although it can be a bit pricey compared to other Lincoln related museums, the quality of artifacts are exceptional. Great place to take your kids for an exciting glimpse into the past. The museum is by tour only, so you can expect to gain a lot of info on 20th century medicine and the enigmatic Dr. Mudd, and a bit about country living. They even let you go into the slaves quarters, and tell you about the mudds slaves.

It's a nice tour. Interesting but about 3 hours long.so make sure you have time.

Closed yesterday but got me interested again in early Southern Maryland history just seeing the area. Will visit tomorrow.

I saw the sign while driving down Route 5. I stopped here in the early 90s and decided to see it again. Well long story short it was closed. Has a fence around it so you cannot even get close. So a waste of time. But I did see it from the road.

This place is great just went during their Victorian Christmas weekend. Had civil war reenactors set up out front, guides in period clothing described the rooms inside. Santa was there as well. Representative from the local metal detecting group with display of the finds was interesting. Went a couple years ago during another anniversary event and it was just as good with a lot of role players. Keep an eye on when their events occur and go then.
