I haven't been here in a while but these ladies are the absolute best! There was free wifi when I went and they offered drinks as you got your hair done. They did a few changes last time I was there and I was impressed. They also had some amazing purses! PLEASE PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THEY ONLY HAVE CASH!!!! I would take it cause it might have changed since I last went, but I don't think they have.

My hair ok..couldve been better and cheaper

This is by far the worst hair braiding place I have experienced!!! I went to them on two occasions and both were bad. The first time I got Marley twist! The twist was way more expensive then Any other shop and they did it very messy. I had twist that were unraveling and also a lot of my twist were very larger than the others. I did not like how they braided the top and then started to twist the ends. I thought maybe they can do another style for me so I gave them another try taking my Marley twist as a lost. I went back to this salon and tried another person to sew in a weave for me. I explained what part of my hair I wanted left out. I went home that night only to come back the next day bc one, the back of my hair was very skimp and they needed to add some more tracks and also they did not install them in correctly. When I asked the girl to fix it to my liking she gave me an attitude. They charge way more than an average braiding shop and they get mad when you ask them to do something. She then called me a liar because I told her that it was still not right! I will NEVER GO BACK!!!! Don't go here!!!

Once I arrived I noticed the place was fairly clean and the two ladies greeted me as soon as soon as I walked in the door. They were already working on one young ladies hair (she was getting some medium sized Senegalese Twists). After I told the lady my style she started on my hair. (So sorry, I didn't even ask the lady her name....that's so not like me!)

Towards the end I was getting even more impatient, as it seemed like she was slowing down even more. I asked her how much longer and she said about 15 minutes. Honey, 15 minutes turned into another 30 minutes. Sheesh. The total amount was $140.00. Very reasonable.

I asked for feeding cornrow twists (Mohawk Style). This particular style should take about 4 hours, with one person. I showed the lady a picture of exactly the size and length I wanted. It actually took a little longer, around 5 hours, because she wanted to do the cornrows a little bit smaller. I was okay with this, but I'm one of those impatient people that doesn't like sitting in a hair salon all day. It irks my nerves, especially when it's time to remove said braids...ain't nobody got time for that.

These ladies saved my life after African Roots Hair Braiding, located in Camp Springs/Temple Hills failed me completely after they stood me up.

I called African Hair Gallery Braiding at the last minute to see if they could accept me on a Sunday as a walk-in customer. They were really friendly and told me to come as soon as I could.

I would visit again, but I only get my hair braided once a year to decrease the chances of breakage. Nice ladies....oh and if you don't like church sermons or gospel music, bring your electronic device with headphones. It didn't bother me but it may be a nuisance to others.

I did not enjoy This experience in Waldorf...They were extremely Rude and they pulled my hair way to tight. After I asked them to stop they did Buhh they were talking extremely loud in my ear and Not Caring I was sitting there. Then the burned me with the hot water

I suppose I shouldn't be too upset, as they had taken me at the last minute and were really friendly. I'm liking my protective style, albeit a little smaller than I'd have liked.
