Great attentive service.
this is the best nail salon. Beautiful, clean, quiet and the staff are pleasant. It is the true definition of a nail SPA! I leave relaxed (often times I fall asleep while I'm there). Great prices and no attitudes (unlike most of the nail spots in Ft. Washington). I'm headed there today!
I acquired an eyebrow service from a woman named Tammy, I requested to have my eyebrows tinted seeing as though my natural eyebrows are a lot lighter and I wanted to alleviate the time of having to shade them myself daily. This was my first time tinting my brown however a friend of mine referred me and her eyebrows are awesome, except she gets the service from Wal-mart. I asked Tammy her how long they would last she said 2 weeks, she cleaned my natural brows with wax and tweezing then applied the dye. She applied a thick paint layer and my sister who was with me advised one eyebrow was longer than the other, she had Tammy come in who took a q-tip and attempted to remove the dye and assured my brows would not be that dark and would be natural. 15 minutes later when she wipes off the dye I was horrified, not only was one noticeably longer and the other noticeably lighter and dark and the beginning but the skin on the left side of my face where she "elongated" was burnt from the chemical. When I advised that I did not like the service and wouldnt pay she yelled at me another employee named Julie interjected herself in the conversation and said I spoke too much and it wasnt that serious, At this point my baby sister is steppeing infront of me because as I told Julie, who are you to iterject yourself into a conversation that has nothing to do with you (1) and secondly my eyebrows are terrible
I actually apologized to her if "her" because she said I hurt her feelings because she was nice and "tried" to give me what I wanted and this has never happened before. I told her my intention is never to hurt anyone and I agree she is a nice person and I respect her service because I too work in the customer service field; however this is business, and this needs to be a learning lesson on how to treat clients moving forward because she was disgustingly disrespectful in how she handled the situation, and un-educated in how to communicate what services she can and cannot perform, what she is an expert in and not.
I made contact with the owner Tina, she apologized and apologized, offered a free service--no thank you I will not be back., she advised both Tammy and Julie would be spoken to about their conduct. I advised her that I have been in communication with legal council and Custom Nails Spa would be contacted, a review will be made as well as BBB complaint.
3 broken nails and 1 cracked after less than 2 weeks. My nails were very rushed
Tammy involved my child by saying I cant believe you do this infront of your son (who is 4months old) and sister by asking if it looked that bad; And I advised her that she was out of line , you do not address my sister who is a child nor involve my son I am a single mother which means I do not have money to waste, I asked for the owners name and number along with hers and Julie, and Julie wondered why I wanted her name and I said because she was ignorant and would be reported for her behavior. I negotiated and agreed to pay full price for her cleaning my natural brow , I even paid half for the tinting service. What I explained was its not about the free, if my intention was to not pay I would have already left. The issue is she was the expert, I expected a service from her and it was not provide correctly nor even explained in full, she justified her actions by saying I looked better then before I came in, she had to dye my skin to accommodate the hair and shape, the difference between tattoo and tin.She never once apologized. I am not incompetent as I explained to you, I am well aware of the difference between tattoo and tint, Im also well aware of the service performed to my friend and what her brows have consistently looked liked for more than 1 year now. I told her that she made no sense and I would not be returning, I would be contacting the owner as well as doing a review; she said thats fine whatever!...so here it is.
If I could give this place no stars they wouldn't be getting any. I would never go to this place again. WAY over price and don't go here if your in a rush it's terrible service and they do more talking than working. They don't acknowledge their customers , payed $30 for a full set with no polish no nothing very unhappy and I recommend no one to come here, even if it was the last nail salon on earth.
The "salon" staff should have to show proof of their license and certifications in-order to perform services, I'd hate for this to happen to another person. Looking back I should have not paid anything, and Im disgusted!
