I went in on Sunday June 12th, 2016 to order my dad some boots specifically for Father's Day. I spoke with an employee named Rob, who saw that, from my previous order in 2014, that the boots I was specifically looking for were no longer carried in the store, and definitely not in any store near Waldorf, MD. So he ordered them from the factory. Which I later learned, from speaking with a manager at the Waldorf Store that what he should of initially done, was did some sort of search in ALL the stores in the US, because apparently if you order them from the factory they take longer then if you order them from ANOTHER storefront. Rob said initially that the earliest they would be in was that Thursday, coming up which would have been the 16th of June. And the latest would have been Father's Day itself, which was on Sunday June 19th, 2016. I called Thursday. They weren't in. Then I believe I called Friday or Saturday and spoke with a manager, who was completely honest with me. Which I appreciate more then anything. She told me how Rob was wrong for ordering them from the factory and how he should of done some sort of store search. Well she then did a "store search" for the boots I had come in and ordered on the 12th. So she found a pair in Ohio. Ended up ordering the ones in Ohio on Thurrsday the 16th of June. You know the store in Ohio.. (Red Wing Boots Store #539 out of Tallmadge, Ohio) DID NOT send them out until Monday!!! I was sooooo livid when I found this out. To make a long story short... Out of all the trouble that the Ohio store caused by not sending them out until Monday the 20th, and the boots not arriving until AFTER Father's Day... The 2 VERY NICE, and I mean VERY NICE manager's at the Waldorf Store (One was named Maureen, and I didn't catch the other ladies name, but she was super nice too) made EVERYTHING RIGHT with me as a customer, by providing my Father with a Red Wing shirt for FREE, and threw in a pair of socks and some Mink Oil for the boots. All I have to say is, that if it wasn't for those 2 managers at the WALDORF store, being so nice, AND understanding to as why I was so angry, then I would never order a pair of boots again from Red Wing. Since Maureen and the other manager made things right and were so understanding, I am choosing to be a repeat customer. No one has ever treated me so well as a customer as the Waldorf Store did. Thank you again for everything.
Great customer service
Last owners customer service was on point. The new owners lack greatly in the service department. When you have to call 7 times, leave 3 messages and still haven't talked to them it is very disappointing. The boots are still high quality but I will either be buying online from now on or switching to ariat.
