I'll start by saying this is not my usual mechanic, but I was unable to make it to mine in a pinch last week when a tire needed a patch. I explained that two tires had significantly low PSI but one seemed worse than the other. I asked for both to be checked and while I was told they were, days later when the low pressure light came on AGAIN I began to suspect something was up.
I have a 10 year old vehicle and I wanted to give up and buy a new vehicle, because it was shaking violently while driving 55 mph and nobody knew what was wrong with it. Well, I took it here for a road force balance and my suv drives like a brand new one. They really know what they are doing here. I am in love with my suv again!
I brought it back to Wiygul in Waldorf, and lo and behold they neglected to find a nail in one of the offending tires. I don't know how you miss a nail. The gentleman at the front desk, a fellow whose name I missed, told me "Well, we don't know that we missed that." Of course you don't. That's the point. You wouldn't know you missed it. I wouldn't be quite as unhappy if he hadn't lied to me about when it's too far gone to patch a tire. I know he lied, because on my old vehicle I had the exact same thing occur and had the hole patched. That tire was fine until the day my car got totaled almost two years later. Even if I'm wrong and that's not the case, this could have been avoided had they done their due diligence the first time around. There's no way that my tire picked up that nail in less than a week, especially considering I'd made all of two trips in my car between visits and the problem had existed prior to the first visit.
I have been at the Waldorf location multiple times for oil changes and everything seemed on the up and up. However when I got my car towed because of the distributor assembly going bad I was told it was going to cost $700 dollars. This was a huge mark up and I called 3 different shops and none of those places even came close to being $700 dollars. The average cost for the exact same repair at a different shop was $400 dollars. I was very disappointed and they lost a loyal customer.
Then he tells me it's going to be almost $200 to replace a single tire. I'm glad I called my usual mechanic and asked for a quote, because it was more than $100 less than what Wiygul quoted me. I won't be returning. This is clearly the kind of establishment that sees a single woman, assumes she doesn't know what on earth she's doing, and tries their hardest to railroad her instead. Wiygul, you're absolutely the worst. Thanks for making me miss a day of work because you couldn't be bothered to do the job right the first time. Stay far away.
Excellent customer service from everyone I dealt with: Danny, Kevin, and Rodney! All were super helpful, friendly and professional. Think I've found a new shop home!!
I wouldn't recommend that place to nobody the manager marks up prices on parts three times as much very rude he thought I had stupid written on my fore head compare prices before u go there the workers smokes cigarettes inside of the shop around all the gasoline and oil my car smell like filthy smoke inside I.
