My daughter has attended this gym for almost three years now. From the first day she started she absolutely fell in love with the sport, fellow gym members, and her coaches. I have witnessed first hand the growth and dedication shown on a daily basis by the staff members. They are always seeking new ways to improve and excel for the benefit of all AMAG (American Martial Arts Gym) family, friends, and members. This includes before and aftercare (dropping off and picking up student to and from school).*Always timely might I add*Allowing for study time and tutoring after school, then to the gym to enforce discipline, respect, technique, confidence building, an amazing dream team, and supervised positive instruction while releasing pinned up energy after long school days. Oh... I almost forgot, THEY HAVE SUMMER CAMP!!! These coaches literally live for their students. Summers are full of field trips, games, and drills.
My daughter started going here in the summer and she loved it. Great place open 7 days a week great people. They staff is awesome.
The multi-age structure is similar to homeschooling. The coaches' speech gave no quarter but showed respect at the same time. I saw an emphasis on safety, good timelines and progression of skill-building.
This is the most intense gym that i have ever been to. The coaches know their stuff and they don't sugarcoat anything. When you step on the floor be ready! A great family atmosphere for my little ones too. I recommend AMAG to everyone!! Hope to see you there!

Bottom line, this group keeps it real, treats everyone the same, absolutely LOVES what they do, wants every child that walks through the doors, walking out wanting to return the next day, they are firm, but fun, they know their stuff, and live what they preach. Be a child or adult... Everyone learns the same technique. On competition days the training provided for all members of AMAG is evident. WINNERS
I am not surprised that the gym wins often. The wall is covered with titles and ribbons, including an award for first place at the national competition. The gym owner won 1st place while competing in the Army.
I cannot imagine a better learning environment for my son. As a mom of five children, I'm impressed by the quality of relationships that the coaches have with their own young families. I was surprised to find kids from age three up who felt quite confident in their environment.
